How to connect your MetaTrader 5 account to TradesPad?

🔒 Guaranteed Security: TradesPad will only use your MetaTrader 5 credentials to read your trading history and generate performance analytics. It will not be able to execute, modify, or cancel trades in your trading account. We only perform read operations. Your credentials are securely encrypted in our databases.

Step 1: Access your TradesPad account

Once logged into your TradesPad account, go to the Accounts section from the main menu.

Step 2: Add a new account

1. Click the Add account button.

2. In the dropdown, select the Automatic option to connect your trading account.

3. A form will open where you will need to enter your MetaTrader 5 account's login details.

Step 3: Fill out the connection form

1. In the Platform field, select MetaTrader 5.

2. Enter a custom name for this account (only visible within TradesPad).

3. Enter your login / account ID, password, and server exactly as provided by your broker or prop firm. Important: We highly recommend using your investor password (read-only password) if available. TradesPad only performs read-only operations. Please note that TradesPad is not responsible for lost prop firm accounts due to IP flags/restrictions. It is your responsibility to check with your broker for IP restrictions for read-only connections.

Step 4: Save and verify the connection

1. Once the form is completed, click Save.

2. TradesPad will attempt to connect to your account using the provided details.

3. If the details are correct, the account will appear on your dashboard and trade synchronization will begin.

Step 5: Confirm Synchronization

• Verify that your account is listed in the connected accounts section.
• TradesPad will automatically begin importing your trades.
• The initial synchronization may take a few minutes, especially if you have many previous trades.

Important Notes

• Unlike other platforms, your balance, commissions, and swap data do get synchronized automatically for MetaTrader 5, so your analytics and P&L will be accurate. Let us know if they are not at [email protected] or our discord.
• Read-only Access: TradesPad only performs read operations. We will never execute, modify, or cancel any trades.
• Investor Password: We highly recommend using your investor password (read-only password) instead of your master trading password if available.
• Disclaimer: We are not responsible for any lost prop firm accounts due to IP flags or restrictions. It is your responsibility to check with your broker for IP restrictions for read-only connections.

Tip: Sync Missing Trades / Advanced Sync

If you accidentally delete trades, or they don't get synchronized, you can use Advanced Sync to re-sync a specific date range.

To do this, check how to sync trades, but instead of pressing Sync Account, press Advanced Sync
